Driving Instructor Training

F.A.Q's

Cost?
This is usually the first question and depends very much on ability, previous experience and whether you want a Trainee Licence or not?
But typically around £2000.
Earnings?
The more you are prepared to work, the more you'll earn.
On current prices for a 37-hour week around £1000 once fully qualified when working within our framework and much more if you are prepared to work more hours
Working independently can be better or worse depending on whether you can generate sufficient work,
cover the car costs and advertising.
The best way to think of the training costs is the equivalent of about a couple of weeks of earnings once you're up and running.
Job Offer?
The training comes with an automatic job offer, which you can choose to take or not.
We are a long established busy company and always need good reliable Driving Instructors.
Straightforward  information?
The best place to start is the DVSA, which is Official Info is straight from the from the horse's mouth. www.gov.uk

For more information on our training courses and your route to a successful career you can call or click on Training Info
How long is the Course ?
Another really important question. Test dates from the DVSA are often the determining factor, so expect between 4 months – 6 months before being able to start work. The more time you have and the more committed are, the less time it will take. The first step is always the hardest!
Is it for me?
For this Profession, you ideally need:
A love of driving.
An easy going nature.
A concern for road safety.
A love of people.
Use your Savings, Cash or a Redundancy payout, to invest in your future wisely.

DVSA ORDIT (Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers) are registered and approved by the DVSA and can be found on their website.
ROYAL School of Motoring have been on the register throughout it existence since 1985. This requires a re-test every two years, an inspection of facilities, a Code of Practice and naturally a cost.
