Hazard Awareness

After you have completed the theory test, you are required to undertake a hazard awareness test. This consists of 14 video clips, each lasting approximately one minute, with each featuring various types of hazards, such as vehicles, pedestrians and road conditions. You must respond by pressing a mouse button as soon as you see a hazard developing that may result in the driver having to take action, such as changing speed or direction. The earlier the developing hazard is spotted and a response made, the higher the score. Candidates can score up to five marks on each hazard with the test containing 15 scoreable hazards.

The pass mark for this part of the test is 44 out of 75 for both car drivers and motorcycle riders.

This test can be practiced at our offices, on our own computers at the following prices:

£3 for 1 hour
£10 for 5 hours

This test should thoroughly prepare you for the real test.
